Cedar Elm Project Spotlight

I can't wait to show you guys more of our past projects that we have completed! This project in Irving TX was such a fun project for us. Our client really trusted us with their home vision. For this project, we wanted to go with a transitional vibe. Nothing too modern and nothing too traditional. We painted the whole house in Sherwin Williams Pussywillow. This home carries a lot of texture throughout with the stacked stone fireplace and beautiful basketweave backsplash in the kitchen. We wanted to bring in pops of blues and hints of golds. My favorite is this piece of artwork above the foyer credenza that we found on sale at Home Goods!

Weekly Favorites!

I'm such a one company fits all kinda girl when it comes to clothing, beauty, and home style. I do love branching out but just a little. My goal for 2020 IS to branch out to different companies. I feel so comfortable and set when I find a vendor I love. I stick with them for everything! To be honest, I have doing a lot of internet searching since we've been quarantine.

As an interior designer, I need to stay up to date on latest colors and trends and I love it! There is nothing better than waking up on the weekends, turning some lofi hip hop on the tube and getting inspired on my balcony. Whether is through a magazine or Pinterest! Even the gram holds some major inspiration for me.

I really want to be better at writing in my blog and sharing with you guys weekly favorites that I'm obsessing over. It can really be anything that I find online or IRL like these items:

1 // - I can't wait to get these J. Crew leather sandals and I love that they come in my favorite color!

2 // -Have you guys been catching up on Kristin's reality show, Very Cavallari? I know I have! Her and Jay's marriage is so freaking cute! I have a ring from her collection, Uncommon James, and I love it! This South Ring will be my next purchase for sure.

3 // - While designing our future master bedroom, I have been loving round rain drop...(try saying this 5 times!) table lamps. I think these are perfect for master and guest bedrooms. The texture is so beautiful.

4 // - The fastest way to get me to go clothes shopping is to tell me you're going to Loft. This store has my heart and soul in and out! Seriously, I am not even kidding when I say I love Loft. In fact, this is one of the main clothing I wear. It's so easy to dress up and down no matter what occasion you have to attend. This blazer has my heart right now and I might just purchase it now. You can never have too many blazers, right?

5 // - Hear me out on this one - since we have many design projects, I have to keep an eye out for different artwork vendors and sometimes, a lot get very old in my opinion. I keep seeing the same artwork everywhere. Don't get me wrong, I love art! I stumbled on Great Big Canvas about 4 months ago when we were sourcing for a project and I fell in love. It's very affordable and you can select your frame style and size that best fits your space. I have been loving this series called Stepping Stones.

6 // - Another amazing find from none other than Kristin at UJ. I just love their aesthetic so much. This piece is called Raise the Bar and they sure have!

7 // - You know, something about decor items on an acrylic base...this Sea Life decor object is perfect for a stack of books on a bookshelf or coffee table. Love it!

8 // - Give me all the swivel lounge chairs! Especially ones with heavy textured fabric like this one from Lulu & Georgia. It's the perfect size for lounging! You can also find it selected for our future master bedroom. Heart eyes.

9 // - I actually need a new throw blanket now - only because Texas weather doesn't know how to make up its mind. I love any throw with tassel fringe too. :)

I hope you guys are enjoying your quarantine time. I know it's hard but we will get through all this together. #stayhome

What I do everyday!

I get a lot of friends/family asking me what I'm doing / how I'm doing during this Dallas, TX shut down. The truth is that I'm still working and I'm so grateful that I can still work from home no matter how hard times get. I'm not going lie, it's definitely hard when you don't have your main crew around you most of the day. I'm also grateful that I work with my best friends on a daily basis. I miss my best friends so much!

While working, I think to myself how I can become engaged more to my hobbies that I love. I work in AutoCad and Photoshop almost everyday. Since I was 19, I grew to love programs that helped illustrate my design work. I never knew in a million years that photoshop would become another essential tool for projects. When I started my small e-design company, I didn't know jack of photoshop, believe it or not. I remember asking my husband to download photoshop so I could start learning from scratch. Just yesterday I showed some of my earliest work to him and we laughed so hard! I know I still have a lot to learn but I'm so happy with my progress. I'm finally at that stage where I want to teach people photoshop specifically for our industry.

Here is a recent e-design project I just completed and I got the chance to make an actual video of the progress with sound! WITH SOUND, PEOPLE! I am so excited! Along with interiors, I have managed to learn all about exteriors too which is super fun.

I want to know how many people would be interested in a full monthly course to teach you all about photoshop for interior designers. :) Let me know if you are down! I hope you guys enjoy my first ever rendering video. Back to quarantine life. Who else is ready for this to be over?!

Designing our future master bedroom during quarantine

Hi everyone! I am so glad to be back here! As you all may know Texas is currently under a "shelter in place" due to COVID-19. I have never seen anything like this before. These past two weeks have been filled with many emotions. I miss hanging out with my best friends and family. I know we will get through this tough time stronger than ever though! I have decided to come back to my blog and create content for you guys. :)

With being quarantine for two weeks at our apartment, it gave me and Aurelio time to design our future master bedroom. I am obsessed with designing photoshop renderings for clients and I just feel like this was the best time to design one of our own. I'm currently obsessing over Pure and Salt Interiors. They just get me. Their use of neutral and textured elements have me drooling over their IG page for hours. They were definitely my main inspiration for our master bedroom.

I know for sure we want an upholstered bed like this one from Lulu & Georgia. I'm also not afraid to admit that I actually purchased this rug already and I am so excited for it to come in. I will link all our items on our Pinterest board here! :) We have decided all our master bedroom items we have now will be moved to a guest bedroom. I'm still in love with all our pieces we have though!

It has been so much fun designing this space. I cannot wait to show you our apartment now in our next blog post.

Now back to our quarantine time in Dallas. Thank you all for being so patient with me and blogging. Please follow us in IG and Pinterest!

Much love!
